The Neurobiology Section in the Division of Biological Sciences (https://biology.ucsd.edu/) and the Neurosciences Department in the School of Medicine jointly invite applications for a faculty position in the Neurobiology of Neural Circuits and Behavior at the Associate or Full Professor level. Candidates working on any cutting-edge problems in any model system are invited to apply. We are particularly interested in interactive colleagues who bring integrative and/or community-enabling approaches to their studies, in areas including but not limited to development and use of sensors and techniques for imaging and recording of neural circuitry, including new molecular pathways for cell-to-cell communication.
The Division of Biological Sciences at UC San Diego and the School of Medicine are vibrant center of scientific discovery, innovation, and collaboration. Our large research base spans many areas of biology and has one of the most celebrated graduate programs in the country. All candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and be committed to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to excellence and creativity in research and scholarship, successful candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion in higher education. We are especially interested in candidates who have created or contributed to programs that aim to increase access and success of underrepresented students or faculty in the sciences, or have detailed plans to accomplish such goals.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
