Position description

The Rady School of Management (http://rady.ucsd.edu) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The Rady School invites applications for one or more faculty positions at the Associate or Full Professor level (tenured) in the field of Economics, subject to the availability of funds.

This position represents the Rady School Excellence Search for Diverse Faculty in Management initiative. This initiative seeks to build a more diverse faculty and aims to foster a diverse and inclusive community of scholars to enhance our academic and research missions. In addition to the highest standards of scholarship, teaching, and professional activity, the successful candidate(s) for this position will have potential or demonstrated contributions to a climate that supports equity, inclusion, and diversity. Salary and appointment level are dependent on experience and based on University of California pay scales. The positions are subject to funding and are expected to have a start date of July 1, 2022.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a PhD in economics or a related field.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on applied behavioral economics with an emphasis on field experiments, data analysis and business school relevant research.

Additional consider will be given to candidates with strong scholarly records and an effective record of teaching at the graduate level. The school seeks candidates whose research, teaching, and/or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education
