Position description

The Department of Radiology (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The department is seeking a fellowship-trained interventional radiologist to join the Division of Interventional Radiology.

The successful candidate would participate in clinical, teaching, and research programs.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    Candidates must have an MD and be board certified/board eligible in diagnostic radiology. Candidates must be VIR subspecialty eligible/certified and have completed a 1-year fellowship training in interventional radiology.

    Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Preferred qualifications

    Previous clinical experience and expertise in all aspects of interventional radiology are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in novel Interventional Radiology procedures.
