Position description

The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (http://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is recruiting for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor levels.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, DO or PhD in Neurosciences, Neurology or related fields. Candidates with an MD or DO must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California and have completed Neurology or similarly related training, and be Board eligible or certified in Neurology or related field. Candidates with an MD degree must have completed Fellowship training in some form of neurodegenerative disease or related specialty or have a track record of expertise in the area.
