Position description

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Urology (https://urology.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is recruiting for a new faculty member for Benign Urology Translational Research.

The focus areas of particular interest include the Microbiome, Biomedical Engineering, Dietary Sciences, Data Analytics.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The proposed series includes Ladder Rank, In-Residence with secured extramural funding and Adjunct.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

    Candidates must have a PhD with current extramural funding in Benign Urological Disease including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, reconstructive urology, andrology.
