The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology
(http://oto.ucsd.edu/default.aspx)is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department is seeking a board-certified or eligible otolaryngologist(s) with expertise in Pediatric Otolaryngology to join our Division.
This position includes participation in patient care, teaching, research, and projects, leading to expanding the clinical service. As well as a commitment to developing a strong, diverse and equitable Pediatric Otolaryngology practice in a competitive environment.
The successful candidate must have an interest and expertise in comprehensive sleep medicine, including the medical and surgical aspects of management. Further interest and expertise in anterior skull base surgery are desirable.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate of Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidates must have an MD and be board certified or eligible in Otolaryngology. Experience in education and research and scholarly environment and completion of a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship or additional training is required. Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board.
