Description

The Division of Hematology/Oncology (http://med.ucsd.edu) in the Department of Medicine at Moores Cancer, at the University of California San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body is seeking a hematologist to further build and expand the multidisciplinary programs of the Department of Medicine and the Moores Cancer Center.

The Division is seeking candidates with an interest in clinical, basic science, or translational research and/or medical education involving hematology and who are committed to excellence in patient care. The successful candidate will continue to help expand the robust clinical, research and educational activities of the Division of Hematology/Oncology.

Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree and be board certified/eligible in Hematology. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Candidates with clinical experience in both benign and malignant hematology are preferred.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
