The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to the academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks an Assistant Project Scientist. Multiple opportunities for collaboration research will be available.
This is a newly established position will bridge the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Radiology, Engineering on jointly funded research projects. This position will utilize the resources of the Altman Clinical Translational Research Institute, multiple imaging locations at UCSD and in San Diego, and multiple Engineering buildings on campus to achieve the goals of each grant. The applicant is will be in regular contact with funding agencies for the benefit of these collaborations.
Candidates must have a PhD, and the ability to make original and significant contributions to a research program.
Appointment will be at Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and experience.
