The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) and Rady Children’s Hospital of Sandiego (www.rchsd.org) are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is recruiting for a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Responsibilities will include patient care, teaching and research at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Have an MD or DO
• Completed a US accredited residency training program in Orthopaedic Surgery at the time of application
• Completed fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the time of hire
• Have or be eligible for a California medical license or or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board
• Be American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery certified or eligible
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
