Position description

The Department of Radiology (http://radiology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The department is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained interventional radiologist to join the Division of Interventional Radiology.

The successful candidate will participate in clinical, teaching, and research programs. Early career candidates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have an MD and be board certified/board eligible in diagnostic radiology and be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must be VIR subspecialty eligible/certified, eligible for a California medical license. Candidates must also have completed a 1-year fellowship in interventional radiology.

Candidates who have also completed a 1-year fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology, with a clinical interest in musculoskeletal interventions, are preferred.
Previous clinical experience and expertise in all aspects of interventional radiology are preferred.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.
