The Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital (https://www.rchsd.org) is currently in an exciting period of growth and expansion. As part of our ongoing pursuit of clinical innovation and scientific discovery, we are recruiting exceptionally talented academic clinical neonatologists.
UC San Diego consistently ranks among the top 20 research-intensive medical schools. The UC San Diego Rady Children's Division of Neonatology is currently ranked 12th nationally by US News and World Report and possesses an outstanding group of talented clinician educators, translational investigators, and physician scientists. Faculty members in the Division of Neonatology cover the 60-bed tertiary Level IV NICU at Rady Children's Hospital, the 52-bed regional Level III NICU within UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center, and both Level III and Level II UC San Diego and Rady Children's Hospital NICUs throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties.
Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent. Candidates with an MD must be board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in the sub-specialty of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or have completed an accredited training program in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the start date of the appointment. Candidates with an MD must be eligible for a California medical license or or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board or equivalent.
Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor Rank based on candidate's experience and qualifications. Series will include 100% Ladder Rank or 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding.
