The Department of Economics within the Division of Social Sciences at the University of California San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body.
The Department invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in economics (any field). The positions begin July 1, 2020 (subject to budget provisions). Candidates must show potential for achieving significant results in original research, possess strong teaching skills, and have a PhD in Economics or a related field prior to the start of appointment; applicants currently in a doctoral program must have advanced to candidacy prior to any potential offer of employment.
The preferred candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership or a commitment to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in an academic setting. Applicants will rank the field grouping(s) that best describes who should read their application materials. If more than one grouping is selected we will assign the file to one of them at random.
