The Division of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine is seeking an academic physician to add to its current program and services and build regional outreach programs.

The Division's nationally-ranked clinical program is expanding and growing with inpatient, outpatient, and consulting services at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego and UCSD Medical Center, participation in multidisciplinary clinics, multiple regional satellite programs, and development of regional continuing education programs.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in the subspecialty of Pulmonary Medicine and have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board.

Candidates board certified/eligible in pediatric pulmonary also in sleep medicine with ambition, energy, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills preferred. Preferred candidates will also have strong clinical experience with an interest in clinical investigation, quality improvement, regional and national clinical care initiatives, and experience in the training of fellows, residents and medical students. Preference will also be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research, or service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
