The Section of Neurobiology in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of California, San Diego, has one opening for a Project Scientist (non-tenured, Assistant, Associate, or Full rank). Appointment rank is dependent on academic experience and scholarly achievements. This position will provide significant, creative, and innovative contributions to a research project looking at genetic network coordinating intracellular trafficking using C. elegans as experimental model.

Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Biology or related field. A minimum of five years of postdoctoral experience.
Preferred requirements: Commitment to mentoring and research training service to build equitable and diverse scholarly environment. Extensive experience in all of the following areas: genetics, molecular biology, microscopy, and knowledge of C. elegans techniques. Experience in writing grants and scientific papers.
