UC San Diego School of Medicine (http://som.ucsd.edu/) and the Moores Cancer Center (http://cancer.ucsd.edu/) in La Jolla is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks an exceptional physician with a specialized focus and experience in neuro-oncology to serve on the Neurosciences and Medical Oncology faculty.

UC San Diego has a strong history of commitment to innovation in neuro-oncology research and clinical care, creating excellent interfaces for collaboration and interdisciplinary program development in Neurosciences, Neurosurgery, Radiation Oncology, Oncology, and basic science collaborators. The Moores Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with demonstrated excellence in research, treatment, education, and prevention. The Moores Cancer Center is the only such NCI-designated cancer center in San Diego, and provides clinical care for patients throughout Southern California.

The ideal candidate is a neurologist or medical oncologist with sub-specialty training in neuro-oncology. We seek candidates who will contribute to our established neuro-oncology program, including its strong, ongoing commitment to research. Candidates will be expected to participate in the education of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.

Candidates must have a MD and completion of an approved fellowship in neuro-oncology.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
