Position description

The University of California, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (http://pharmacy.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks applicants for a part-time Pharmacy Instructor.

Under the general supervision of the Director, UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, pharmacy program’s incumbent will provide direct instruction in a classroom setting of pharmacy students. Responsibilities include prepare lesson plans, conduct classroom instruction, administer exams, and grading assignments. The position is not included in the UC San Diego Health Sciences Compensation Plan and does not include benefits.

This position is also responsible for participating in a weekly meeting with other instructors, communicating with the program director on a regular basis, providing written and oral reports, developing student databases, and performing statistical analyses of students’ performances on exams. We seek candidates with an interest in and commitment to pharmacy education.

Candidates must have a Pharm.D. or equivalent.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, course load, and experience.
