Position description

The Scripps Institution of Oceanography Department, at UC San Diego, is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The Department is currently accepting applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18) to teach for the upcoming academic year. All areas of earth, atmospheric, oceanographic and marine biosciences may be considered. A Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in these or related fields, demonstrated knowledge of the "state of the field", and evidence of effective teaching are required. A commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are highly desirable. Positions available for the 2018/19 academic year are part time, with the possibility of extension into the following academic year, based on Department needs.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
