Position description

The department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences (https://medschool.ucsd.edu/som/) at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is initiating a search for an academic radiation oncologist for a 0.5 FTE tenure track faculty position in the Division of Clinical and Translational Research.

The position will be primarily dedicated to conducting a lab-based research program and excellence in teaching, service, and clinical care is a must.

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must have an MD or MD/PhD
  2. Board certification in Radiation Oncology
  3. Demonstrated success in translational research and education and
  4. Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license.

Appointment will be at the Associate Professor rank. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
