The Department of Ophthalmology at UC San Diego (http://health.ucsd.edu/specialties/eyes/Pages/default.aspx) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Department of Ophthalmology, Shiley Eye Center, UCSD Vision Research and Rady Children’s Hospital are expanding. The Department is recruiting for a research scientist position specializing in Retina Blood Flow, Ocular Perfusion, and Diabetes studies.
Candidates must have an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology and have, or be eligible for a California medical license. Candidates must have strong clinical skills, outstanding productivity, and interest in research.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on the University of California pay scales. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
